W.R. "Sonny" Lowery

Mr. W.R. “Sonny” Lowery, age 87, of Hickman,
KY died May 17, 2014 at the Baptist Memorial
Hospital in Union City, TN.


He attended the Cayce United Methodist
Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy
where he served in World War II. He had
retired from the Kentucky State Highway
Department where he was an assistant foreman.
He had lived in Hickman, KY for 80 years.


He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dot Wade
Lowery of Hickman, KY, a daughter and son in law
Quretha and Dennis Coffey of Hickman, KY; two
grandchildren Rob Coffey of Hickman and Brenna
Ray and husband Thomas and one great grandchild
Stowe Edward Ray all of Union City, TN.


He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and
Mrs. William Lee Lowery.


Funeral service will be held at the Hornbeak Funeral
Chapel at 2 pm on Tuesday, May 20. Interment will be
in the Cayce Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will
be at the funeral home from 10:30 am Tuesday until the
funeral hour.
