William Jewel Amos

November 14, 1923 — February 25, 2008

He was a member of the Greater Antioch Missionary Baptist Church
in Fulton, KY. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World
War II. He had been an insurance agent for the Golden Circle Life
Insurance Company and was a nightclub manager for the
Sha-gra-la in South Fulton, TN and the Big Hall in Martin, TN.
He was also a truck driver for the Mayfield Feed Company in
Mayfield, KY.

He is survived by 3 daughters: Theresa Amos of Fulton, KY,
Pamela Marie Amos- Hill of Chicago, IL,and Deborah Burns (Boyce)of Little Rock, AR. A brother- James Amos(Mary) of Abliene, TX, 6 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents - Elliott & Angeline (Cross) Amos, his wife - Minnie Lee (Clark) Amos, 2 sons - William Jewel Amos, Jr. & Michael
Lewis Amos, a brother - Richard Amos, a sister - Anna Marie Starks and a granddaughter - Phlice Burns.

Funeral services for William Jewell "W.J." Amos will be held at 1PM Saturday at the Greater Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Friends may call at the church from 12 noon until the funeral hour.
