Thora G. Bransford

Mrs. Thora G. Bransford, age 96, of the Rush Creek community died Friday, March 6,2015 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City, TN.

She was a member of the Rush Creek United Methodist Church and was
a homemaker. She was also a former member of the Fulton County
Homemakers and had lived in this area since 1945.

She is survived by two sons and daughters in law Greg and Kay Bransford of Union City, TN and Gideon and Mary Bransford of Navarre, FL; nine grandchildren and their spouses Valerie Irene Andrews (Jeremy) of Murray,KY, Lori Elizabeth Moore (James) of Clarksville, TN, Todd Elton Bransford (Jessica)of New Albany, IN, Parke Tyler Bransford of the U.S. Navy, Benjamin Thomas Bransford (Sandra) of Broken Arrow, OK, Jonathan David Bransford of Point Lookout, MO, Isaac Gideon Bransford of Broken Arrow, OK, Sarah Jordan Bransford of Green Forest, AR and Ariana Marie Bransford of Navarre, FL; seven great grandchildren - Emma Irene Andrews and Brody Hutcheson, both of Murray,KY, Lillian Grace Moore of Clarksville,TN, Megan Zoe Bransford, Delaney Joy Bransford and Lorelai Lee Bransford, all of New
Albany, IN and Carson Thomas Bransford of Broken Arrow, OK.

She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Leon Bransford,whom she had married November 21, 1945 in Gladewater, Texas, her
parents Thomas Homer Gregory and Jessie Elizabeth Baugh Gregory, a
son James Thomas Bransford and two sisters.

Funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, March 9 at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel and interment will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery near Cayce, KY. Rev. David Sauer and Rev. Hugh Barksdale will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4-7 pm on Sunday and anytime after 8 am Monday until the funeral hour.

Active pallbearers will be Todd Bransford, Parke Bransford, Benjamin
Bransford, Jeremy Andrews, James Moore, Wendell McClellan and Barry
Sharp. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Jones, Dennis Jones, Jeremy
Jones, John Phillip Mayfield, Ted Hopkins, Bobby Sublett and Lewis Atwill.
