Steve Akers

Mr. Steve Akers, age 62, of Fulton, KY passed away
Thursday, April 1, 2021 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein
Hospice Center in Paducah, KY.

He was born on August 28, 1958 in Chicago, IL
to the late Charles Richard Akers and Luverne Slaughter
Akers of Fulton, KY.

Steve had worked at the former Goodyear Tire and
Rubber Company in Union City, TN and then went to
work at Tyson Foods working in the Pack-Out Department.
He lived most of his life in Fulton, KY.

In addition to his mother, Luverne he is survived by his wife,
Jackie Hemphill Akers, whom he married November 4, 1978,
a son Erik (Sarah) Akers of Schriever, LA, a grandson Silas
Mathew Akers of Schriever, LA, his mother-in-law Nell Hemphill
of Fulton, KY, five brothers; Doug Akers of Fulton, KY, Ralph
Akers of Orange City, FL, Danny Akers of Murray, KY, Anthony
Akers of Gobles, MI and Dennis Akers of Fulton, KY.

Memorial services will be held at 6PM Thursday, April
15, 2021, at the Fulton First Baptist Church Family Life
Center. Visitation will be held at the Fulton First Baptist
Church Family Life Center from 5PM Thursday, April 15, 2021
until the hour of service.
