Stephen Goodman

July 15, 1973 — May 5, 2022

Stephen Phillip Goodman of Fulton, KY went home to be
with Jesus on Thursday May 5, 2022, in a motor vehicle
incident.  Stephen can best be described as a Christ-
follower, faithful husband, loving father and servant who worked
heartily as unto the Lord.

Stephen was born on July 15, 1973 in Garrison, North 
Dakota to John Meredith Goodman III of Adams, TN
and Wanda Fischer Goodman of Adams, TN.  He later
lived in Montana and his hometown was Adams, TN.
Stephen served honorably in the United States Marine
Reserves from 1991 to 1999 as a sergeant.  He was
a life-long advocate of the US Constitution and stayed
faithful to biblical values of hard work, discipline, and 
listening to and giving wise counsel.

Stephen married Melissa Cox Goodman on
July 18, 1998.  They met at the University of Tennessee
at Martin, where Stephen earned a bachelor's degree
in Agricultural Business in 1998.  After college, he
worked as a manager at Tyson Foods and Goodyear
Tire and Rubber Company.  For the past thirteen
years, he owned and operated Allcare Tree Service
and Stump Grinding and Goodman Apiaries.

Stephen is survived by his wife, Melissa and two sons, 
Ezekiel Phillip and Elijah Paul Goodman of Fulton, KY.,
his mother, Wanda Goodman of Adams, TN., his father and
stepmother, John and Gail Goodman of Adams, TN., four brothers: 
Jamie Goodman (Dayvely) of South Carolina, John Goodman
of Tennessee, David Goodman (Kitti) of New Mexico,
William Goodman (Kaylan) of Oklahoma, two sisters;  Joanna Goodman
of Tennessee and Grace Lubbers of Michigan, one stepsister, Deena Povio Tuttle of Tennessee, in-laws, Randy and Marcia Cox of Fulton, KY., grandmother-in-law, Evelyn Cox of Fulton, KY., a brother-in-law, Lynn Cox (Kelli) of South Fulton, TN., a sister-in-law, Anna Cox McCoy of  
Fulton, KY.  He was loved by and loved all his many nieces, nephews,
uncles and aunts.

Stephen and his family faithfully attended First Baptist Church of
Fulton, KY. and New Life Family Worship Center of Fulton, KY.
Family values, hard work and a beautiful heritage of biblical truth-telling is
 how we will remember him. 

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 7 from 5 PM until 8 PM
at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel.  Services will be held at 2 PM
Sunday with burial to follow in the Wesley Cemetery.
