Shirley Ann Watts

Mrs. Shirley Ann Watts, age 82, of Graysville, TN. formerly of Hickman, KY passed away Wednesday March 13, 2019 at her home.  

Shirley was born on September 22, 1936 in Fulton, Ky. to William Trigg & Jennie Jouett Mosley Evans. She was raised by her Aunt and Uncle, Hope Jane Evans Counce & Loyd Scrap Iron Counce who lived off state line road near Hwy 5 on the KY side.

Shirley graduated from Woodland Mills school as well as Beauty Operator School in Union City, TN and worked as a Beautician in Fulton KY and Memphis TN before going to work for RCA in Memphis TN and then a full time mother raising her three children allowing Donald to establish a career with Kellogg's and the AFL-CIO Union.

Shirley & Donald Watts were married at the Church of Christ in Union City on June 20, 1959

Shirley is survived by her Husband of 59 years, Donald Paul Watts of Graysville, TN;  Three sisters Rebecca Jane Evans Johnson of Memphis TN., Wanda Carlson of Romeoville, IL., Diane Counce Woody of Annona,Tx, and a brother Joe Evans of St. Louis,  two Sons Rodney Paul Watts of Graysville, TN and Joey Dean Watts of Memphis, TN.; one Daughter Kimberly Ann Brunner of Graysville, TN., seven grandchildren, Brandon James Watts of Hickman TN., Chantel Marie Brunner of Chattanooga, TN. , Staff Sgt Christopher Blake Watts of Paris Island, SC., Cassandra Danielle Brunner of Graysville TN, Bradley Joshua Watts of Memphis Tn, Victoria Paige Brunner of Salt Lake City, UT.  & Jacob Paul Watts of Dayton,TN., 5 great grandchildren, Adelyna , Oaklan, Addilyn, Vail & Vanna

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were a brother George Edwin Evans of Woodland Mills and sister Betty Jean Fields of Chicago, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30PM Saturday, March 23rd in our funeral chapel with burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday, March 22nd from 6-8PM and from 12Noon Saturday until the hour of service.
