Shirley Ann Cruse
August 11, 1935 — May 29, 2017
Mrs. Shirley Cruse, age 81, of the Fulgham Community died Monday,
May 29, 2017 at the Clinton-Hickman Co. I.C.F.
She was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church, retired from
Liggett Clothing Company as personnel director, then worked as an LPN at Haws Memorial Nursing Home, Hillview and Fuller Gilliam Hospital in Mayfield, KY. She lived in this area most of her life.
Mrs. Cruse is survived by her husband of 60 years, Bro. Ronald Cruse, three sons; Ronnie (Regena) Cruse of Clinton, KY, Bro. Doug (Priscilla) Cruse of Clinton, KY, Bro. Jeff (Missy) Cruse of Lexington, AL, two sisters; Margaret (Jerry) Walston of Pilot Oak, KY, Judi Boswell of Dixon, TN, two brothers; Charles (Joyce) Colburn of Decater, TN, Andy (Keity) Colburn of Vonore, TN, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William Walter and Elizabeth Hunter Colburn, one sister Patsy Ruth Colburn Sharon and a brother William (Buddy) Colburn.
Funeral service will be held at 2 pm Thursday, June 1 at the Pilot Oak Baptist Church and burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5-8 pm on Wednesday. Mrs. Cruse will lie in state at the Pilot Oak Baptist Church from 12 noon Thursday until the funeral hour.
