Sherry Voorhees

Mrs. Sherry Voorhees, 59, of Hickman, KY died on December 4, 2019 at her residence in Hickman.

Sherry was a graduate of Obion County High School and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hickman.  She had previously worked as assistant director of the Hickman Senior Citizens Center and director of the Hickman Chamber of Commerce, and served on the board of the River Town Mission.

Sherry is survived by her husband, Doug Voorhees of Hickman, daughters, Kristy (Michael) Cole of Mayfield and Laura (John) Mudd of Hickman, KY; grandchildren, Landon and Elena Cole of Mayfield, KY; sister, Peggy (Murray) Burton of Tiptonville, TN; brothers, Billy Joe (Judy) Knight of Obion, TN and Kenneth Knight of Union City, TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, General and Ruth (Coe) Knight and brother, Paul Knight and sister, Betty Scott.

Funeral service will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Enrique Hernandez officiating.  Burial will be in the Hickman City Cemetery.

Visitation is set for Friday, December 6^th at the First United Methodist Church from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and again on Saturday at the church from 9:00 A.M. until service time.

Sherry will always be remembered for her radiant smile that could light up any room and her contagious laughter.  She will be missed by her loving husband, family and many friends.
