Runelta Puckett
June 2, 1925 — December 6, 2016
Runelta "Dinky" Hopkins Puckett, age 91, passed away at home on
December 6, 2016. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 am on
Saturday, Dec.10 at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel, Fulton, KY. Visitation
will be at the funeral home from 5 to 8 pm on Friday, Dec. 9.
Ms. Puckett was the daughter of the late Fred Hopkins and Aggie Norma
Vaden Hopkins. She grew up in Fulgham,KY and graduated from Fulgham
in 1944. While in high school, she and her sisters worked during World War II at the ammunition plant in Viota, KY. In 1947 she started with H.I.S. Sportswear in Fulton and retired after 39 years. She moved to Nashville to be closer to her son, daughter and grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters,
Geneva Waller, Marjorie Walker and her son David G. Puckett. She is
survived by her sister Vadene Hopkins Pewitt of Mayfield, KY, son Daniel G. Puckett of Nashville, TN, her daughter Rebecca J. Puckett Marshall and two granddaughters Kristina Marshall Irvin and Sarah Marshall, all of Murfreesboro, TN.
