Robert "Bob" Bowles

Mr. Robert "Bob" Bowles, age 87, of South
Fulton, TN., passed away August 2, 2023 at the 
Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, KY.

Mr. Bowles was born in Villa Ridge, IL on July 6,
1936 to the late Raymond Bowles and Anita Aldrich
Bowles.

Mr, Bowles lived in this area most of his life. He also lived in Lake City, KY for 9 years and Calvert City, KY for several more years.  He was a member of the South Fulton Baptist Church.  He served in the U.S. Army. After leaving the service he went to work for the Illinois Central Railroad where he retired after 26  1/2 years as an Operator/Clerk.  He was a member of the TwinCities Railroad Museum , Railroad Retirees and the Illinois Central Historical Society.

He is survived by his wife  Beatrice Stubblefield 
Bowles, two sons James "Jim Bob" Bowles 
(Maria) of Pensacola, FL., William "Billy"
Bowles (Michelle) of Fulton, KY., 5 grandchildern:
Samantha Bowles, Tabitha Longman, Heather 
Webb, Justin Bowles and Whitney Dinning and
10 great grand-children.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death
by a brother William Raymond Bowles. 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 7,
2023 at 1:00PM, at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel with
visitation on Sunday, August 6, 2023 from 5PM
to 7PM. Mr. Bowles will be laid to rest at the Pleasant
View Memorial Gardens in Fulton County, Kentucky.
