Mr. Richard W. Rose died April 23, 2009 at 9:30 p.m. at the Volunteer Community Hospital.
He was a U.S. Army veteran who served in World War II and was a
member of the Smith Street Church of Christ in South Fulton, TN.
He was a retired mail carrier for the U.S. Postal service where he
worked for 30 years. He had lived in this area all of his life.
He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Martha (House) Rose
of South Fulton, TN; 2 sons Gregory R. Rose of South Fulton, TN and Mark B. Rose of Cleveland, TN and a grandson Mason Rose
of Cleveland, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents Treva(Webb) and Boyd Edwin Rose.
Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2009 at the Oak Grove Cemetery. There will be no visitation held at the funeral home and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for graveside services.
