Richard Hardy McAlister, Jr.

August 7, 1921 — June 15, 2006

He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II in the European Theater. He retired in 1977 after 33 years of service with the city of Detroit. He was a bus driver for the DSR (Detroit Streets & Railways). He was a Life Member of the American Legion DSR Post 394 of Mt. Clemens, MI.

He is survived by his wife - whom he married January 30, 1942 -
Beulah (Evans) McAlister - of Imlay City, Michigan. One daughter -
Vicki (Phillip) Pugh; a son in law - Ralph Goode of Imlay City, MI;
3 grandchildren: Jeffrey (JoAnn) Goode, Gary (Jennifer) Goode, &
Emily Pugh. 3 great-grandchildren: Tyler Goode, Evan Goode &
Shelby Goode. One brother - Hardy L. (Katie) McAlister.

He was preceded in death by his parents- Richard H. & Syble (Cook)
McAlister, a daughter - Paula Goode who died in June 2005, and a
grandson -Richard Pugh.
