Richard A. Crider

September 8, 1939 — February 3, 2020

Mr. Richard A. Crider, age 80, of South Fulton passed away on
February 3, 2020 at Diversicare of Martin.

He was born in Carroll Co., TN on September 8, 1939 to the late Homer
Lee and Mary Ethel Dunn Crider. He was of the Baptist faith and was a
U.S. Army Veteran. He received a Masters Degree from Memphis State
University and retired in 1994 from Lennox Hearth Products in Union
City, TN, where he worked in Human Resources/Management. He
umpired and was the announcer for South Fulton ballgames for many
years. He had lived in Obion Co.,TN most of his life.

Mr. Crider is survived by his wife of 52 years, Melody Brundige Crider of
South Fulton, a daughter Cathy Fry (John), a son Michael D. Crider, all of
South Fulton, TN, 2 grandchildren Ashlee Elks (Bobby) and Harrison Fry,
all of South Fulton, 2 great grandchildren Ellis Elks and Lucy Elks both of
South Fulton, a sister Marilyn Hillis of Nashville,TN and a brother H.D. Crider
of Tipton Co., TN and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Crider was preceded in death by a brother
R.D. Crider and a sister Helen Milam.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, February 7, 2020 at the
Hornbeak Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11 am
Friday until the hour of service.
