Reuel Hemphill

March 29, 1909 — January 2, 2009

She was the oldest member of First Baptist Church in Fulton where she had been a member for over 90 years. She had been a Sunday School teacher for
70 years and was a member of the Gleaners Sunday School Class. She
was also a pianist for the church for many years. She was a graduate of the Conservatory of Music in Louisville,KY . She was the assistant to the pastor's
of the First Baptist Church. She had been a resident of the Haws Nursing Home for the past 5 years.

She is survived by a daughter Martha Kaye Wood of Fulton,KY,
a granddaughter Ondrea Harrison of Franklin, TN and 4 great grandchildren Jack Harrison, Liam Harrison, Connor Harrison & Mary Margaret Harrison, all of Franklin, TN. 3 step grandchildren: E. J. Wood of Lebanon, TN, Jeffrey Wood of Cave Springs, AR and Julie McHaney of Paragould, AR;and 6 step great grandchildren: Kelsy Wood, Kasey Wood, Clancey Wood,Evelyn McHaney, Kathelyn McHaney and Nelson McHaney.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Atilla Hemphill in 1988, her parents William Elsie & Ida Josephine(Chappel) Flippo, an infant daughter Patricia Faye Hemphill and a sister Thelma Francis Fry.

Funeral services will be at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2009. Burial will be in the Greenlea Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6-8 pm on Saturday and after 8 am Sunday until the funeral hour. Memorials may be made to the Gideon's International P.O. Box 1325, Fulton, KY 42041.
