Remona Olson

Mrs. Remona Olson, age 88, of Magnolia Place in Union City, TN, formerly of Hickman, KY, went to her permanent home on December 3, 2018.  She passed away at Baptist Health Paducah.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Smith and Nora (Hutsell) Smith; first husband, Roy Forsythe, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Her survivors include husband, Walter “Bud” Olson; daughters Glenda (Larry) Langford and Gail (David) Black both of Hickman, KY; sisters; Ardell Flanagan, Betty Purdy, Janice Manning; grandchildren; David (Sarah) Langford, Jennifer (Matt) Albanese, Deanna (Brad) Morris, Adrienne Black and fiancé Chapman Offutt, Lauren (Brian) Arnold;great grandchildren; Olivia, Nicholas, Annalise, Grant, Haven, Jameson, and Natalie.

Endless stories will be told about Mona which will always include laughter.  She was a source of joy, hilarity and sarcasm all rolled into one person.  Mona enjoyed playing endless games, teasing and joking with all. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by all.

Services for Mrs. Remona Olson are scheduled for Friday, December 7, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Strong Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Purcell officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickman City Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 A.M. until service time on Friday, December 7, 2018.

Chapman Offutt, Brad Morris, David Langford, Matt Albanese, Lucas Goodman, and Ronnie Lane will serve as pallbearers.

The family would also like to extend heartfelt gratitude to David Johnson and staff of the Magnolia Place for their care and support.
