Mr. Ralph Allen, age 78, of Water Valley, KY died Monday, June 11, 2012 at 11:11 pm at the Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, KY.
He was a member of the Mt. Zion Old Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where he had served as an elder for over 20 years. He had retired from the former Henry I. Siegel Clothing Company where he worked as a machinist and had lived in this area all of his life.
He is survived by his wife Martha Stephens Allen, whom he married on May 23, 1953, of Water Valley, KY, four sons and three daughters in law, Eddie Allen (Pam), Mack Allen (Lisa), all of Water Valley,KY, Neilly Allen (Debbie) South Fulton, TN and Otis Allen of California; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a brother Jessie Allen of Fulton,KY, a half brother Larry Dew of Fulton, KY, a half sister Joyce Johnson of Greensboro, AL and a step brother Marvin Dew of Willis, MI.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jessie E. Allen and
Lilly Mae Jones Allen Dew, three sisters and six step brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, June 14 at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in the Wesley Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5-8 pm on Wed. and anytime Thursday until the funeral hour.
