She was member of the Mt. Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church
and had served as an elder at the church. She was a retired
seamstress for the H.I. S. clothing company. She had lived in this area most of her life.
She is survived by a daughter - Joyce Bay of Hixson, TN, 2 grandchildren: Megan Bay of Chattanooga, TN and Erin Bay of Orlanda, FL.
She was preceded in death by her husband- Clarence Stephens,
her parents -Edgar and Adella (Hicks) McMorries, 6 brothers and 5 sisters.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rachel Stephens will be held at 2:30 Wednesday in our funeral chapel with burial to follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12 noon on Wednesday until the funeral hour.
