Phillip Williams

Phillip Brent Williams, age 42, of Hickman, KY passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City, TN.

He was employed as a logistics manager for the Frazier Industrial in Dyersburg, TN.  Phillip loved Hickman and had served as city commissioner for twelve years.  He was Hickman’s Mayor Pro Tem.  Phillip also had been bookkeeper for the Fulton County Middle School and High School girls’ basketball teams and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Kentucky Wildcat fan.

Phillip is survived by his wife, Merry (Meeks) Williams, son, Dylan Williams and daughter, Karlie Williams, all of Hickman; father and step-mother, Brent and Teresa Williams of Union City, TN; mother and her companion, Cindy Williams and David Swift of Fulton, KY; step-brother, Tyler Dunn of Hickman; father in-law and mother in-law, Phil and Beverly Meeks of Halls, TN and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Strong Funeral Home with Rev. Henry Callison officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hickman City Cemetery.  Pallbearers are:  John Cagle, Heath Carlton, Adam Prehoda, Michael Williams, Scott Williams and Keith Williams.  Honorary pallbearers:  Stephen Winstead, Joey Tetleton and Daniel Maurer.

The family will receive visitors at Strong Funeral Home on Saturday, August 17th from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and again on Sunday from 11:00 AM until service time at 2:00 PM.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to:  Hickman City 4th of July Fireworks, Hickman City Hall, 1812 S. 7th Street, Hickman, KY 42050.
