Peggy Ann Williamson

December 28, 1938 — December 27, 2019

Peggy Ann Tubbs Broadbent Williamson, a longtime resident of Dover,TN
and most recently from Fulton,KY, died Friday, December 27, 2019 at
Fulton Nursing and Rehab at 80 years of age.

Born on December 28,1938 in Old Hickory, TN, Mrs. Peggy received her
Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Austin Peay
State University where she was a member of the APSU marching band,
having played both the French horn and snare drum.

Mrs. Peggy began her career teaching 3-4th grades at Bumpus Mills
Elementary School continuing on to teach numerous elementary/middle
school grades at North Stewart Elementary, both in Stewart County, TN.
Mrs. Peggy also served as the girls North Stewart Trojans Middle School
basketball coach for several years and retired with 33 years of service.

Mrs. Peggy loved all animals, but in particular horses. She was known for
her quick wit and love of her family and school children. Mrs. Peggy was a
Christian, saved at an early age and rededicated her life to Christ in later
years and was an avid member of The Rock Baptist Church in Dover, TN
until the time of her illness.

She is survived by her only daughter, Penny Broadbent Morgan, her beloved
Son-in-law, Pete Morgan from Fulton, KY, her grandsons, Kyle Morgan from
Nashville, TN and Reid Morgan (Kate) from Seattle, Washington, three great
grandchildren, Matilee Morgan from Nashville, TN, and Cormac and Willie
Morgan from Seattle. One brother Robert Gordon Tubbs (Mary Ann) from
Whitehouse, TN and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews,
and a step-daughter, Barbara Francis (Bill) and step-grandson, Terry Francis
from Hopkinsville, KY.

Mrs. Peggy was widowed twice, her first husband, Harold Dean Broadbent
who died in 1980 and her second husband, John Abe Williamson who died
in 2004.

She was preceded in death by her parents Talmadge and Eleanor Tubbs, of
Dover, TN, two brothers James Tubbs and his wife, Virginia; William (Billy)
Tubbs and his wife Evelyn; a sister, Thelma Tubbs Moores and her husband
Baxter, and a niece and nephew.

A memorial service in her honor will be held at Hornbeak Funeral Home, Fulton,
KY on Saturday, January 4, 2020 with visitation from 9-11 am with services
to follow at 11 am. Pastor Justin Hiens will officiate.
