Pauline Thompson

December 24, 1906 — July 31, 2006

Miss Polly graduated from Beerlerton High School and went to Western in Bowling Green, KY.
She received her degree and came to Fulton to teach in 1927. She taught History-Geography and penmanship in Junior High School at Carr and later taught at South Fulton, TN. The last ten years of her teaching career were spent as Head Teacher at Terry Norman. She retired from teaching after 40 years of service in May 1967. She was an active member of Fulton Cumberland Presbyterian Church, a member of the Woman's Club and the Fulton City - Fulton County Retired Teachers Association.


She is survived by 3 nieces- Kathie Turner of Fulton,KY, Kay Newton of South Fulton, TN and Cindy King of Herrin,IL. A nephew -Mike Sullivan of Paducah, KY. 3 great nephews: Brian Turner of Boone, NC, Billy Turner of Nashville,TN and Eric Newton of South Fulton,TN. 2 great nieces: Amy Barclay & Ashley Newton both of South Fulton, TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents- Ernest Thompson and Lois
(McAlister) Thompson Linton and 2 sisters: Mary Jean King and Virginia Sullivan.
