Naylor Burns

January 4, 1926 — March 15, 2009

He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in World War II in the
3rd Infantry. He was of the Baptist faith and was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. He had retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber in Jackson, MI in 1984 where he had worked in maintenance. He had lived in Jackson,MI and Fulton Co., KY.

He is survived by a daughter Kathryn Thomas of Fulton, KY,
a granddaughter Kelly Philipp of Jackson, MI and 2 great
grandchildren Tyler Salisbury and Jacob Salisbury, both of
Jackson, MI. Also a sister Willie Lee Brockwell of Mobile,AL.

He was preceded in death by his wife Juanita D. Burns, his
parents Irene (Harrison) and Robert Wesley Burns, a daughter
Helen Ruth Burns, 2 brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, March 18,2009 at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5-8 pm on Tuesday and after 8 am Wednesday until the funeral hour.
