Nathan Johnson, Jr.

Mr. Nathan Johnson, Jr., age 88, of Hickman, KY, passed away at Baptist Health Paducah on Monday, September 2, 2019.

He was born on May 31, 1931 and worked many years as a self employed carpenter. He was member of the East Baptist Church in Hickman, KY and also a veteran of the United States Army.

Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan Johnson and Ruby (Ballard) Johnson; wife Zona (Scarbrough) Johnson; a sister Rose Ann Kemp; 2 grandchildren Michael Rouse and Megan Rouse.

 He is survived by his son Stan Johnson of Kenton, TN; daughters, Cherry Mudd of Hickman, KY, Darla Rouse of Mayfield, KY; step-daughters Glenda Shell and Brenda Cole both of Hickman, KY; sister, Ruby Sharp of Fulton, KY; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Mr. Nathan Johnson, Jr. are scheduled for Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 12:00 P.M. at Strong Funeral Home with Rev. Henry Callison officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Baptist Church cemetery near Fulton, KY.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 A.M. until service time on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Strong Funeral Home.

Pallbearers:  Scott Johnson, John Mudd, Gerald Scarbrough, Donald Shepherd, Darrel Tarkington, Bradley Burkeen, Brayden Burkeen and Dirk Burkeen.  Honorary pallbearers:  Mike Rouse and Josh Rouse.
