Mrs. Nancy Carroll (Lane) Long, 84, of Scottsboro, AL, and formerly of this area,
passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, AL.
Nancy was born in Paducah, Kentucky on September 23, 1939, to the late
Raymond Thomas Lane, Sr. and Thelma L. (Creason) Lane. She was a member
of Broad Street Church of Christ, Scottsboro, Alabama.
Nancy is survived by her husband, James G. Long, to whom she was married
June 30, 1957, in Paducah whom she was married to for 66 years. She is also
survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kimberley Ann (Randy) Brown of
Scottsboro, AL; a son and daughter-in-law, Kyle Anthony (Kim) Long of
Huntsville, AL; and grandchildren, Summer Lane (Jason) Judd of Henderson,
TN and Tyler (Audrey) Brown of Summertown, TN; and five great grandchildren.
Three brothers, R.T. Lane, Jr. of (Paducah, KY), Ronald A. Lane of (Paducah, KY),
and Larry T. Lane of Fuquay Varina, NC.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, James E. Lane and
a sister, Freda Lane Green.
Funeral services will be held 3pm Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel
in Fulton. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Weakley Co. Tennessee.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1pm Thursday until the hour of service.
