Murrel Moss Stephens

Mr. Murrel Stephens of Water Valley KY died November 22 at the Haws Memorial Nursing & Rehab Facility.
He was a member of the Water Valley Baptist Church and he was a
retired rural mail carrier for the United Postal Service. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in WWII, a member of the Masonic Lodge #756 in Water Valley KY, a deacon of the Water Valley Baptist Church and a disabled American WWII Veteran.
He is survived by his wife Laura Catherine Stephens to whom he married June 5, 1942 of Water Valley KY, two sons, Charles L. (Annie) Stephens of South Fulton, Tony Murrel (Patrisha) Stephens of Clinton KY, seven grandchildren, Greg Stephens, James Stephens, Laurie Thorpe, Stephen Webb, Gary Webb, Stacy Howell, Toni Ann McDaniel, twenty three great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Mary Vine (McBride) Stephens, a daughter Maxine Webb, six brothers, two sisters and one great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1PM Saturday in our funeral chapel. Burial will follow in the Water Valley Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 11AM Saturday until the service hour.
