Muriel Long

Mrs. Muriel Long, age 92, of the McConnell community passed away 
Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at the Hillview Nursing Home in 
Dresden, TN.

She was born on September 15, 1930 in Obion County, TN to the 
late Joe A. Edington and Daisy Newton Edington.

Muriel was a retired factory worker for the former Martin
Manufacturing. She lived most of her life in this area. 

She is survived by a daughter, Margie (Greg) Cantrell of Martin, TN,
a son Eddie Long of Gleason, TN, five grandchildren: Joy (Walter) Pelech of
Union City, TN, Christy Brasure (Katie Dodd) of Martin ,TN, Michael
(Heather) Gutherie of Martin, TN, Dale Boggess of Martin, TN and Joseph
(Samantha) Long of Symsonia, KY, six great-grandchildren: Kayla (Gadier)
Charriez of Dyersburg, TN, Shelby Lynn Gutherie of Chattanooga, TN, 
Shaine Hahn of Union City, TN, David Madding of Fulton, KY, Keri (Chance)
Madding of St. Louis, MO and Justus Long of Symsonia, KY, four great-great
grandchildren: Arlo Charriez, Stella Charriez, Sebastian Hahn and Sterling Renard and several brothers and sisters.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two daughters: Mary
Brasure and Alice Bailey, a granddaughter Eva Marie Long and a grandson,
Bobby Paul Brasure.

Graveside services will be held at 11AM Saturday, September 9, 2023
in the Sandy Branch Cemetery. There will be no visitation held at the funeral
home and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at the hour of service.
