Michael Jeffress

July 1, 1942 — August 13, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of Larry Michael Jeffress of
Fulton, KY announces his passing on Monday, August 13th, at the
age of 76 years.

Michael was born and raised on a farm in Fulton County, and lived
there for much of his life. A 1960 graduate of South Fulton High School,
Michael worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for 32 years.
He served in the United States Army in the HHB 25th Infantry Division,
and received commendations for his service, including a Vietnam Campaign
Medal, a National Defense Service Medal, a Vietnam Service Medal,
and two Overseas Service Bars. He was also a lifelong farmer, working in
crops and with his cattle. He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.

Michael leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Bonnie Ruth, and their son,
David Michael (Jessica) of Murray. He also leaves behind two beautiful
grandchildren, Sagan Ruth and Nolan Michael, who adore their Papaw.
He will be remembered for the mischievous twinkle in his eyes, his kind
and humble heart, and his soft-spoken but witty sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Roper and Jessie Stallins
Jeffress; and by his brother James Albert Jeffress. He is survived by his brother
Billy (Rita) Jeffress of Garland, TX, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will accept visitors at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton from
5-8PM Thursday, August 16th and from 8AM on Friday, August 17th,
until the funeral hour at 11 am. Burial will follow in the Greenlea Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in Michael's memory to St. Jude Children's
Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
