Mrs. Maxine Matheny, age 91, of South Fulton,TN died Sunday,
April 30, 2017 at the Tennova Healthcare-Volunteer Martin.
Mrs. Matheny had been a cashier for the former A&P and Piggly Wiggley grocery stores. She was an avid Bunko player and lived most of her life in this area.
She is survived by a daughter, Ann (Billy) Sensing of Paducah, KY, a
son, Jimmy Matheny of South Fulton, TN, five grandchildren; Lisa
Tremper of Liberty Township, OH, Joey Sensing of Paducah, KY, Todd
Sensing of Liberty Township, OH, Beth Simmons of South Fulton, TN,
Amy Weatherford of Wingo, KY, nine great grandchildren and a sister
Patsy Bell of South Fulton, TN.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James A. Matheny,
her parents, Gilbert Franklin and Emogene Reneer Brown, one sister
and one brother.
Funeral service will be 2 pm on Wednesday, May 3 at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel with interment in the Obion Co. Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 12 noon Wednesday until the funeral hour.
