Mattie Estelle Powell

Mrs. Mattie Estell Powell, age 91, of Fulton, KY passed away Thursday,
January 14, 2021 at Van Ayer Manor in Martin, TN.

She was born on July 6, 1929 in Weakley County, TN to the late Walter
and Stella Francis McClain.

Mattie was a member of Smith Street Church of Christ and had worked as
a cashier at the former Tate's Grocery in Fulton. She lived all of her life in
this area.

She is survived by two daughters; Donna (Gene) Crutchfield of South Fulton,
TN and Judy (Ralph) Woodard of Onondaga, MI, four grandchildren, six great-
grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, two sisters; Marie Liza (Carl)
Burnham of Fulton, KY and Athel Webb of Jacksonville, FL and a son-in-law,
Bobby Jones of South Fulton, TN.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald C.
Powell, a daughter Linda Sue Jones, a granddaughter Stacey Lynne Jones,
a sister Opal Bart and three brothers; Thomas McClain, George McClain and
E.D. "Pete" McClain.

Graveside services will be held at 1PM Sunday at the Obion County Memorial
Gardens. There will be no visitation held at the funeral home and friends are asked
to meet at the cemetery at the hour of service. We do ask that you wear a mask for
the services for Mrs. Powell.
