Mary Louise Warren, 96, beloved wife and mother died April, 16, 2009,at the Martin Healthcare in Martin, TN, following a lengthy illness.
She was the daughter of Stella and Albert Smith, the founder and
owner of Smith's Caf'e, a long-time Fulton landmark.
She graduated from Fulton High School, attended Middle Tennessee
State University and graduated from Union University in Jackson, TN.Mrs. Warren taught English and Drama at Cuba High School during
the 1950's.
She was a devout believer in the Christian faith and longtime, active member ot the First Baptist Church in Fulton.
Her father-in-law, Rev. C.H. Warren, was the Pastor of the First Baptist Church when the original church building was built. Mrs. Warren was a member of numerous circles and societies within the Baptist Church. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and an
avid bridge player.
She was preceded in death by her husband James H. Warren, a highly
respected attorney and civic leader, and is survived by her children, Jane Warren of Houston, TX and Hal Warren of Fulton and daughter-in-law, Joan Warren; two grandchildren, Todd Warren and wife Valerie of Murray, KY and Jana Byrd and husband, Hamiliton of Denver, CO; four great grandchildren, Emma Warren, Colton Byrd, Mallory and Zach Rickman.
Graveside services for Mary Louise Warren will be held at 2PM Sunday at the Greenlea Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 12PM Sunday until time to leave to go to the cemetery for graveside services.
