Mary Jackie Long

Mrs. Mary Jackie Long of South Fulton, TN died Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Golden Living Center in Union City, TN.



She was of the Baptist faith and a 1944 graduate of South Fulton High School, a 1973 graduate of Mayfield Graves County County Vocational School, was the owner of the Dixie Duds Thrift Shop in Fulton. She retired from the Obion County School office and then opened Jackie's Furniture of South Fulton, TN where she was the former owner and operator.



She is survived by a daughter, Paula Sowell of South Fulton, TN and formerly of Memphis, TN, a son, William David Long of Mayfield, KY, one grandson, Adam Sowell of South Fulton, TN and three great grandchildren; Ryan Sowell, Hollie Sowell and Justin Sowell all of South Fulton, TN.


She is preceded in death by her husband, William Earl Long, her parents, Dewitt and Era Mildred Lowe Matthews Freeman.


Graveside services will be held at 1pm Tuesday at Obion County Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation held at the funeral home and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for graveside services.
