Mary Rita Cash-Hester, age 98, of Clinton-Hickman Co., ICF, went home to her Savior, Wednesday, December 13, 2017. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Ann (Jerry) Hobbs of Fulton, KY. A grandson Bobby Joe ( Lea Ann) Hobbs of Fancy Farm, KY and a granddaughter Cathy (Doug) Mayer of Fulton, KY. One sister, Sr. Theresa Cash of Nazareth, KY. Four great-granddaughters: Andrea (Payton) Croft of Cadiz, KY, Amber Byrd of Paducah, KY, Elizabeth (Ben) Honer of Smyrna, GA, Hannah Green of Paducah, KY. Two great-step granddaughters: Taylor Mayer
of Draffenville, KY and Lorna (Dorsey) Reaves of Madison, FL and a
great-stepgrandson, Drew Mayer of Scott City, MO. Five great-great-grandsons and one great-great granddaughter. Many beloved nieces and nephews. And her extended family, the nurses and staff of ICF in Clinton.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Leonard Hester; her parents, James M. and Suzie E. Burch-Cash; four brothers, Joseph, Justin, Albert and Charles Cash; four sisters, Martha and Mary Cash, Katheryn Vogelsang, Anna Rose Neel. And one great-granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Johnson.
Rita retired from Curlee Clothing Co. of Mayfield, KY after 33 years of service. She was an active member of the Altar Society for many years at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Fancy Farm, KY. She was a living example of her Catholic faith and an inspiration to all who knew her, especially to her loving family.
Celebration of her life will be held Saturday at St. Edward Catholic Church in Fulton, KY beginning with visitation from 9-11AM. Funeral Mass will begin at 11AM. Interment will be at St. Jerome Cemetery in Fancy Farm, KY. Officiating will be Fr. Richard Cash, her nephew and Fr. Robert Drury of St. Edward in Fulton.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, 40 West Drive, PO BOX 9, Nazareth, KY 40048-0009.
Pallbearers will be Doug Mayer, Bobby Joe Hobbs, David Housholder, Brad Jones, Payton Croft and Charlie Vogelsang.
