Mary Curlin

Mrs. Mary Lou Curlin, age 95, of Hickman, Ky,
passed away at The Waters of Union City in
Union City, TN.

She was born in Lake County, TN to the late
Alvin Hurst and Nora Emily (Coleman) Hurst.

Mary Lou lived most of her life in this area. She 
worked as a machine operator for the H.I.S. 
company's in both Fulton and South Fulton and 
retired in 1992.

She was a member of the East Hickman Baptist
Church and loved going to the Hickman Senior
Citizens.

Mary Lou is survived by two daughters: Martha
Lou (Jimmy) Potts of Union City, TN  and 
Regina Owens of Dukedom, TN, two sisters:
Jean Lusk of Ridgeley, TN and Betty (Bill) Blake
of Germantown, TN, four grandchildren: Andrea
(Vincent) Wright of Union City, TN, Santana
Owens of Fulton, KY, Steven Owens of
Dukedom, TN and Kayla Owens of 
Dukedom, TN, five great-grandchildren:
Jacob James, Joshua James and Emily James
of Union City, TN, Laken Owens of Fulton,
KY and Hunter Owens of Dukedom, TN.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in
death by her husband, Marshall A.Curlin to 
whom she married December 17, 1949, a
son Donald Gary Curlin, a nephew Ricky
Hurst, one brother and three sisters.

Pallbearers include Jacob James, Joshua James, 
Vincent Wright, Jackie Curlin, Steven Owens and
Bill Hayes. 

Funeral services will be held 1PM Tuesday, 
December 19, 2023 at the Hornbeak Funeral
Chapel in Fulton.  Bro. Eddie Mallonee will officiate. 
Burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery. Visitation 
will be held from 11AM Tuesday until the hour of service.
