Martha Brown Cooley

Mrs. Martha Brown Cooley, age 91, of Water 
Valley, KY, passed away Friday, September 22, 2023
at the Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center in
Paducah, KY.

She was born in Water Valley, KY on August
20, 1932 to the late Preston Brown and Lena
McAlister Brown.

Martha was the member of the Water Valley
Baptist Church and was a retired bookkeeper
for the Circuit Court Clerk in Graves County.
She loved being around family and traveling
when she could.

She is survived by two sons:  David G.
(Susan) Cooley of Water Valley, KY and
Russell (Mary Lynn) Cooley of Fulton, KY, 
four grandchildren: Lee (Kelly) Cooley of 
Wingo, KY, Ben (Sarah) Cooley of Clinton,
KY, Jessica Cooley of Fulton, KY, and
Emily (Houston) Holder of Clinton, KY,
seven great-grandchildren: Tristan Cooley,
Bryce Cooley, Brayden Cooley, Caroline
Cooley, Nolan Cooley, Connor Cooley,
and Sadie Holder, one great-great grandchild:
Sophie Cooley,  a granddaughter in-law Jennifer
Cooley of Troy, TN, two step great-grand-
children: Kada LeRoy, Tyler McKinney and
one step great-great grandson: Beau LeRoy.

In addition to her parents she is preceded
in death by her husband Gerald Norton
Cooley, a son Richard L. Cooley and his
wife Carol Cooley, one grandson: Adam 
Cooley and five sisters.

Graveside services will be held  at 1PM,
Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at the
Water Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be
held at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel 
Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from 10AM
Tuesday until time to leave for the cemetery.
