Martha B. Brown

June 22, 1931 — April 28, 2014

Martha Bess Brown, age 82, left this world a better place than she found it on
Monday, April 28th, 2014.

A country girl at heart, completely unspoiled by the trappings of this world,
she delighted in the simple things of life and had the ability to see heaven
on earth through nature. The life she lived was a wonderful example of Christian
living.  Always with a smile on her face and blessed with an endless and
endearing sense of humor, she lived joyfully and she leaves a legacy of faith
manifested in her passion for people and prayer. To know her was to love her
and likewise with her huge capacity to love; to ever be loved by Martha Brown
was always to be loved by Martha Brown. She never got mad at anyone and
chose to pray instead and earnestly encouraged others to do the same.
She will be missed by her immediate family, a large extended family, her
church family and numerous friends. Her family is comforted by the knowledge
she loved them deeply and unconditionally and their Mother and Memaw prayed
for them daily. She was a member of South Fulton Baptist Church and lived
in this area all her life.

She is survived by a daughter, Judy(Teddy) Adams of Fulton, KY and a son,
Mike(Julia) Brown of Olive Branch, MS, a devoted sister, Shelby Vise of
Union City, TN, five grandchildren; Christy(Michael) Norton of Murfreesboro,
TN, Hailey(Frank) Gali of Miami, FL, Derek(Lauren) Haneline of Kevil, KY,
Devin Haneline of Paducah,KY, Dallas Haneline of Olive Branch, MS,
loving friends Rebecca Pruitt of South Fulton, Dwight Jenkins of Fulton,
KY, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Charles "Peanut"
Leonard Brown, a daughter, Deborah Kay Brown, her parents, Charles
Lee and Bessie Bryson McWherter, a brother, Charles Dean McWherter.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Wednesday, April 30 at the South Fulton
Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Stanley's Chapel Cemetery.
