Marie Menees

Mrs. Marie Lynn Menees, age 94, of Fulton, KY passed away Monday, September 16, 2024 at her residence.

She was born on March 8, 1930 in Rives, TN to the late Euell and Margaret Carter Lynn.

Mrs. Menees was a member of the Smith Street Church of Christ. She was a former secretary and bookkeeper for Fulton County Sheriff 1966-1970, County Judge 1970-1978 and Judge Executive from 1978-1982. 

She is survived by a daughter Cheryl (Don) Dennis of Beaverton, OR, and a son James Keith Menees of Murfreesboro, TN; five grandchildren, Kelly (Kevin) May Eugene, OR, Lauren (Ryan) Boyens of Nolensville, TN, Julianne (Loren) Shelly of Murfreesboro, TN, Danielle Dennis of Monmonth, OR and Jay (Kelly) Menees of Gainesville, FL; seven great-grandchildren, Peyton Shelly and Sloane Shelly both of Murfreesboro, TN, Charlie Boyens, Bennett Boyens and Sarah Boyens all of Nolensville, TN, Tyler Shelly of Murfreesboro, TN and Carter Menees of Gainesville, FL. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James C. "Buck" Menees, a granddaughter Sarah Menees and a daughter in law, Lori Menees. 

A celebration of life for Mrs. Marie Lynn Menees will be held at 1PM Saturday, September 21, 2024 in our funeral chapel with burial to follow in the Obion County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11AM Saturday until the hour of service.
