Mrs. Margaret Katherine Gray, age 89, of South Fulton, TN died July 13, 2015 at Baptist Hospital East in Memphis, TN.
She was a member of the Smith Street Church of Christ in South Fulton and had been an elementary school teacher for the Obion Co. School System for 47 years. She attended Freed-Hardeman University, David Lipscomb University and Murray State University
before earning her degree in Elementary Education. She was also a member of the Obion Co. Retired Teachers Association and Woodman of the World.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law - Bill and Katie Gray of South Fulton,TN, two grandchildren and their spouses Tyler and Keri Gray of South Fulton, TN and April and Ryan McDaniel of Lakeland,TN and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Gray, Sr., her parents George and Lucille Jones Gardner.
Funeral service will be 2 pm Friday, July 17 at the Smith Street Church of Christ at 411 Smith St., South Fulton, TN and interment will be in the Shady Grove Cemetery(Union City,TN). Visitation will be at the Smith Street Church of Christ from 4-8 pm on Thursday.
Memorials may be made to the Obion Co./Union City Retired Teacher Scholarship Fund, c/o Jane Paschall, 2658 East Hwy. 21, Union City, TN 38261.
