Margaret Adams

Mrs. Margaret Adams, age 93, of the Rush Creek (KY)community died
August 8, 2012 at her home.

She was a member of the Rush Creek United Methodist Church, Jacob Flournoy Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Fulton Co. & Calloway Co. Genealogical Society and other local Geneological
Societies, Rush Creek Homemakers, Jackson Purchase Historical Society, Col. Gideon Macon Chapter TN Daughters of American Colonists and was a Kentucky Colonel. She was a high school teacher, an aviation inspector
for Republic Aviation in Evansville,IN, a Home Demonstration Agent for Fulton Co. University of KY Extention
Services, and retired as the office manager for the Kentucky Department of Social Services.

She is survived by three daughters and sons in law Ann Adams Freeman (Tom) Hickman KY, Alice Adams Voegeli (Dan) of Fulton, KY and Ellen Adams Petty (BJ) of Union City, TN; grandchildren and their
spouses Kevin Freeman (Kasama)Westmont, IL, Kelly Gilbert (Jeff) of Kansas City,MO, Kory Freeman (Amy) of Mooresville, NC, Emily Wilson (Erick) of Salem, IL, Jill Crittendon (Eddie) of Fulton,KY, Tori Connor
(Clinton) Utica, KY, Adam Whitten (Brandy) Hickman, KY, Lance Whitten of South Fulton, TN,Step grandchildren, Jo Beth Petty of Brandon,MS and Laura Petty
of Union City, TN, 17 great grandchildren and two brothers Max E.Howard of Panama City Beach, FL and Jeffrey M. Howard of Farmington, KY.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Edward Adams,
her parents Hollis V. and Maude Boyd Howard and a brother Harold
Boyd Howard.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday, August 11 at the Rush Creek United Methodist Church near Hickman, KY and burial will follow in the Rush Creek Cemetery. Visitation will
be at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel from 5-8 pm Friday. Mrs. Adams will lie in state at the church from 9 am Saturday until the funeral hour.
