Lydia Nabors Waldrop

June 28, 1933 — September 6, 2020

Mrs. Lydia Jane Waldrop, age 87, of Bells Retirement Village in Bells, TN
and a former lifelong resident of South Fulton/Fulton area until she moved
to Jackson in 1997 passed away Sunday, September 6, 2020 at the Jackson-Madison County Hospital.

She was born on June 28, 1933 in Graves County, KY to the late
Fred and Mable Croft Nabors.

Mrs. Waldrop was a member of the Fulton Cumberland Presbyterian Church,
where she had served as a Treasurer for 22 years. She was a 1951 graduate
of South Fulton High School and enjoyed their gatherings and reunions, for
sixty plus years. Mrs. Waldrop was an avid reader and enjoyed crafts,
she loved to travel with her "longest and bestest friend", Doris Milner. She was
a dedicated follower of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she was
a 4 time cancer survivor since 1989.

She is survived by a son, Steve (Karen) Waldrop of Knoxville, TN and
a daughter, Lisa (Wayne) Rushing of Humboldt, TN, four grandchildren;
Kyle (Jessica) Waldrop of Beaverton, OR, Leigh Waldrop (Todd) Whelan
of Knoxville, TN, Neal Rushing and fiance' Megan Smith of Nashville, TN
and Meg Rushing of Nashville, TN, three great-grandchildren; Charlotte
Grace Whelan of Knoxville, TN, Naomi Elizabeth Waldrop of Beaverton, OR,
Jacob Ward Whelan of Knoxville, TN, a brother Joel (Barbara) Nabors of
South Fulton, TN, a special friend, Jan Carlton of Jackson, TN and the
"Porch Ladies" at Bells Retirement Village.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Ned
Waldrop.

Memorial services will be held at 3PM Sunday at the Fulton Cumberland
Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be held at the church from 2PM
Sunday until the hour of service. We do ask that you wear a mask for the
visitation and service for Mrs. Waldrop and maintain social distancing.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to West Tennessee Healthcare
Foundation for Camp Bluebird, 74 Directors Row, Jackson, TN 38305
or Fulton Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1159 Parker Road, South Fulton,
TN 38257.
