Luther Leon “Buddy” Harris, Jr.

Mr. Luther Leon “Buddy” Harris, Jr., 67, of Hickman, KY, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, December 13, 2022.

Buddy was born on December 6, 1955 in Union City, TN to the late Luther Leon, Sr. and Dorothy Harris. He spent his entire life working and caring for the many animals on his own ranch and farm. Buddy had an avid love for animals and enjoyed educating people about them. Buddy will be remembered by his knowledge and love he had for his many animals over the years.  

In addition to his parents, Buddy is preceded in death by his daughter, Savanna Harris, and a brother Cecil Glen Harris.

Buddy is survived by his son, Catlion Harris of Belleview, MO; daughter Shawnda Harris Starkey of Lawrenceville, GA; sisters, Mickie Harris of Hickman, KY, Dorothy Lee Harris of Hickman, KY, Marcia Harris Minton of Fruitland Park, FL; grandchildren, Addison Starkey, Gavin Leifheit, and Zakary Starkey and Stella Starkey, all of Lawrenceville, GA, a grandson on the way, Leon Everett Noel Harris, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his beloved animals.

A memorial service for Mr. Luther Leon “Buddy” Harris, Jr. will be held at a later date.
