Leroy Smith, Jr.

Mr. Leroy Smith, Jr., age 69, passed away at Baptist Health Paducah on Friday, October 26, 2018.

Mr. Smith was a member of the Fairview Missionary Baptist Church in LaCenter, Kentucky.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, Leroy Smith and Mattie (Dickson) Smith; son, Adam Mitchell; daughter, Wanda Day; brother, Talmadge Smith; sister, Doris Mitchell; and a granddaughter.

Mr. Smith is survived by his sons; Christopher Smith, Brian Smith, Jerry Smith, and Brandon Smith; daughters, Penny Kinney, Brenda Barber, Charlotte Bookhardt, and Janice Holloway; sisters, Ivy Orr, Alice Hurt, and Linda Cheirs; 24 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Services are scheduled for Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Strong Funeral Home with Rev. James Roberson officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickman City Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 12:00 P.M. until service time on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Strong Funeral Home.

Jerome Warren, Sr., Roosevelt Smith, Anthony Hurt, Jason Smith, Ray Smith, William Hurt will serve as pallbearers. Robert Smith and Donald Griffin will be honorary pallbearers.
