Lela Henderson

Mrs. Lela Marie (Gilbert) Henderson, age 85, of Hazel Park,MI and formerly of this area died October 6, 2017 at the W. Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI.

She was born in Fulton, KY and had lived in this area and also in Michigan. She was a member of the Smith Street Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband Paul Henderson of Hazel Park, MI,
three sons: Roger Henderson (Debbie) of Garden City, MI, Randall
Henderson of Madison Heights, MI and Richard Henderson (Cathy)
of Shelby Township, MI; seven grandchildren and seven great
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Bessie Marie Perry Gilbert, two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral service will be 1 pm on Thursday, October 12 at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel and interment will be in the Palestine Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 am Thursday until the funeral hour.
