Katelyn McCarty

Miss Katelyn Alayna McCarty, age 10 passed 
away Saturday, October 7, 2023 at the Murray-
Calloway County Hospital in Murray, KY. 

Katelyn was born in Graves County, KY, on
June 30, 2013. 

She loved the Lord Jesus Christ, family, hunting
fishing, swimming, drawing, bowling and arcade
games and was a collector of all sorts.

She leaves her parents Jeremiah Jason McCarty
and Bethany Jean Powell McCarty; her sister,
Trinity Jade McCarty of Fulton, KY; her 
maternal grandparents, Terry and Wanda
Powell of Fulton, KY; paternal grandparents,
Timothy and Leeann McCarty of Hickman, KY;
paternal great-grandparents, Kenneth, Sr. and
Hazel Stewart, of Ohio; aunt, Jessica Morris
(Justin) of Hickman, KY; cousins, Tristin, Lynna,
and Lynsey, all of Hickman, KY; uncle, Christopher
Showman and Gary Swingle of Hornbeak, TN;
and extended family members and her best
friends Rayne and Adelynn.

Katelyn was a fourth grade student at the Hickman
County Elementary School, in Clinton, KY, 
and she attended New Hope Missionary Baptist
Church.

Funeral services will be held at 1PM Thursday,
October 12, 2023 at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel.
Burial will follow in the Good Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 
11AM Thursday until the hour of service.
