Johnny Walker Pullen

January 11, 1939 — September 28, 2018

Mr. Johnny Walker Pullen, 79, a longtime resident of South Fulton
passed away on September 28, 2018 at the Anna Mae Owen Residential
Hospice House in Murray, KY.

Mr. Pullen was a United States Air Force Veteran and retired from the Air
Force as a Master Sergeant after serving God, family and country for 22
years. His military assignments included Scott AFB, IL, Barksdale AFB,
LA, Offutt AFB,NE, Fairchild AFB,WA, and overseas tours of duty in
Vietnam, Thailand, and Guam. After retirement, Mr. Pullen opened a
small engine repair business in Fulton, KY - Pullen Brothers Small
Engine Repair. Deciding to do something different, he closed his
business 4 years later and became a Repair Serviceman for Sears, at
which he worked for 15 years. Mr. Pullen is remembered for his master
of all trades skills as he could fix anything. He loved fishing, hunting,
laughter and above all his family. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his sons and daughters in law Tim and Suk (Sue) Pullen of
San Antonio, TX, Paul and Lea Ann Pullen of Wingo, KY, daughters and a
son in law, Gaytha and Tim Wheeler of South Fulton, TN, and Paula Simdon
of Union City, TN, his companion and friend Betty New of Benton, KY,
nine grandchildren and a brother David Pullen. Also a nephew Don Pritchett
and several additional nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Pullen, a son Mark Pullen,
brothers Carlos Pullen, Wilburn (Bill) Pullen, sister Joyce Smith and his
parents Gordon and Maurine Pullen.

Funeral service will be held at 11 am Wednesday, October 3 in our funeral
chapel with burial to follow in the Obion Co. Memorial Gardens with military
honors.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6-8 pm on Tuesday,
October 2.
