John Tye

Mr. John Franklin Tye, 79, of Hickman, KY, passed away at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, KY on Sunday, June 25, 2023.

John was born on August 24, 1943 in Hensley, WV to the late Jim and Nellie (Ward) Tye. He worked the last 12 years on a farm and enjoyed riding the 4 wheeler to feed the animals. John was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Caroline Tye, brothers, Robert Tye and William Howard Tye, sisters, Amla Hillwig, Graita Veckert, and Mary Sue Underwood.

John is survived by a brother, James Tye of West Virginia, and his dear friend and caretaker, Carl (Melissa) King of Hickman, KY.

Mr. John Tye was cremated per his wishes and there will be no services held.

Strong Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
