John Alvin Shepherd

John Alvin Shepherd, 74 passed away peacefully Jan 8 2021 at Advent hospital in Sebring Florida. 

He was born January 17, 1946 to the late William Jefferson Shepherd and Elizabeth Francis Shepherd.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Patsy Norris Shepherd,  sister Janice (Phillip) Brown, daughters; Ann Shepherd (Chuck) Rice of Franklin, TN, Laura Shepherd (John) Blane of Hopkinsville, KY, and step daughter Cheryl Norris (Jay) Turner of Mt. Juliet, TN; six grand children, Anna Blane, Shepherd Rice, Elizabeth Rice, Laura Frances Rice, Mary Carter Rice and Catherine Blane. 

John graduated from Fulton High School in 1964, where he was a star basketball and football player.  Upon graduation he attended Murray State University and was soon drafted into the Vietnam war.  He was a long time resident of Fulton, KY, and member of First United Methodist Church in Fulton. He then moved to Nashville, TN.  He was an avid golfer in his younger years and loved to travel with his lovely bride.

A celebration of Life will be held in the Nashville area at a later date.
