John Edward "Johnny" Murphy

Mr. John Edward "Johnny" Murphy, age 68, of the Jackson Chapel community passed away on Thursday, September 17,2020 at the Mills Nursing and Rehab Center in Mayfield, KY.

Mr. Murphy was born on January 22, 1952 in Hickman Co., KY to the late Edward and Virginia Cooley Murphy.  Johnny was a member of the Jackson Chapel Church and was a farmer and had served in the U.S. Marines.  He had lived in Hickman County, KY all of his life.

He is survived by an uncle, an aunt and several cousins.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Tommy Murphy and a sister Cathy Murphy.

Funeral service will be held at 3 pm Sunday, September 20 in our funeral chapel with burial to follow in the Clark Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1 pm Sunday until the funeral hour.
