Barbara Reeves Barber and James R "Jimmy" Barber were united in marriage
June 1, 1963. After 57 years of marriage, on October 18, 2020, Jimmy passed
away at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City, TN and Barbara passed away on
October 19, 2020 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY.

Barbara was born in Hickman, KY on April 21, 1942 to the late Riley and Charlotte
Everett Reeves. She was a member of the Smith Street Church of Christ in South
Fulton, TN. She lived most of her life in Hickman, KY and was a longtime employee
of the Citizens Bank.

Jimmy was born in Paris, TX on December 27, 1938 to the late William Greg Barber
and Sarah Rainey Newton. He was also a member of the Smith Street Church of
Christ where he was a former Elder. Jimmy was a veteran of the United States Air
Force and formerly owned the Newton's Grocery in Hickman, KY and also worked for
the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Union City, TN. Also being a longtime
resident of Hickman, KY he and Barbara moved to South Fulton, TN about 13 years ago.

To this Union, two children were born, James Todd Barber of Dresden, TN and
Nancy Dian (Chris) Poole of Dresden, TN. There are three grandchildren, Josh
(Dionna) Johnson of Murray, KY, Ellie Poole of Dresden, TN and Dylan (Kaylynn)
Poole of Paris, TN.

In addition to their children and grandchildren, Barbara is also survived by two
sisters; Betty (Layman) Baggett of Union City, TN and Elizabeth Atwill of Fulton,
KY and a brother Charles (Jessie) Reeves of Plymouth, MI as well as several
nieces and nephews she loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by three sisters, Jeanette Warner, Nancy Rice and
Nyoka Craddock and three brothers; Billy, Bobby and Jimmy Reeves.

Jimmy is also survived by a brother, Ralph (Roxanne) Newton of Sierra Vista,
AZ and is preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Newton.

Funeral services for Barbara and Jimmy Barber will be held at 1PM Friday in
our funeral chapel with Bro. Randy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the
Hickman City Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11AM
Friday until the hour of service.
