Mr. Jerrial Wayne McKenzie, age 65, of Water Valley, KY died Thursday, February 5, 2015 at the Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, KY.
He was a member of the Pentecostal Tabernacle of Water Valley, KY, was commissioned a Kentucky Colonel and was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. He was a veteran of the United States Marines and was the Fire Chief of the Water Valley Fire Department for over 20 years. He lived all of his life in this area.
He is survived by his wife Cheryl (Carnahan) McKenzie, three daughters; Sherry (Barry) Rice of Mayfield, KY, Paula (Richard) Bone of Fulton, KY, Lynn (Troy) Hawks of Water Valley, KY, one sister, Ludella Webb of Water Valley, KY and eleven grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, J.W. and Eva Lynn (Johnson) McKenzie, a granddaughter Kaylee Jo French and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM Saturday at the Pentecostal Tabernacle of Water Valley with burial to follow in the Camp Beauregard Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm Friday at the Pentecostal Tabernacle of Water Valley and will lie in state at the church after 9AM Saturday until the hour of service.
