Mrs. Janie Vowell Huddleston-Parker, age 76 of Brentwood TN died November 2 at the Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville TN.
She was a member of the Brentwood Methodist Church. She was a third generation owner/operator of A. Huddleston Co. in Fulton KY and an avid tennis and bridge player.
She was preceded in death by her first husband , Dawson Huddleston, her parents, Roy and Lavenia Williams Vowell, and three brothers, Tab, Bob, and Jim Vowell.
She is survived by her present husband, Dale Parker Jr., a son Wesley (Kate) Huddleston, three grandchildren, Thomas, Alex, and Ellie Huddleston, a brother Jasper (Betty Jean) Vowell, a sister, Maggie (Richard) Cummings, stepchildren, Chris (Rita) Parker and Lisa Parker and step grandchildren, Sarah, Breanna and Christopher Parker and Conner and Cassidy Reed.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1PM Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Trinity Episcopal Church.
There will be no visitation or services held at the funeral home and friends are asked to meet at the church at the hour of service.
Memorials may be made to the Nashville Zoo, 3777 Nolensville Pike, Nashville TN 37211.
