Janet Kay Murphey

Mrs. Janet Kay Murphey, age 82, of Pilot Oak, KY passed away Monday,
March 30, 2020 at her residence.

She was born on April 1, 1937 in Summit County, OH to the late Clarence and
Bonnie Foss Bowers.

Janet was a member of the Pilot Oak Church of Christ and had lived in this
area for the last 50 years. Janet enjoyed life! She loved homemaking,
Girl Scouts, and many hobbies including, making quilts and
scrapbooks for friends and family. You could always count on a
Christmas Open House.

She is survived by her husband, Gene Murphey, whom she married December
27, 1957, two daughters; Debbie (Bill) Turnage of Clarksville, TN and Beverly
(William D.) Yates of Pilot Oak, KY, three grandchildren; Stephanie (Steve)
Fulcher of Graves County, KY, Michelle (Robert) Malkowski of Clarksville,
TN and Everett Yates of Pilot Oak, KY, four great-grandchildren; Kory, Carson
and Caden Fulcher of Graves County, KY and Kaylee Malkowski of
Clarksville, TN.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother,
David Bowers.

Pallbearers will be Robert Malkowski, Steve Fulcher, Everett Yates, Kory
Fulcher, Carson Fulcher, Caden Fulcher and William D. Yates.

Due to the current events surrounding the viral pandemic of the
Coronavirus (COVID-19) the Murphey family will have a private visitation
and graveside service as required by Kentucky and Tennessee guidelines.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
